Final Design

Rationale

For this final design, I was trying to recreate the poster that I made 7 years ago. Unfortunately, I lost the file, so I have to rely solely on my memory. Through this poster, I was hoping to show one of many ways we can create a peaceful society and environment. One which is to embrace diversity and learn how to respect that diversity. When diverse individuals and groups come together in unity, recognizing and respecting each other's differences, it creates a foundation for peaceful coexistence and cooperation.

I was inspired by my country's official national motto which is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika , basically means although we are different one to another, we are still one in unity. I used examples of people with different gender and different skin color wearing some traditional clothes from various ethnic groups, as well as some places of religions, such as temples, shrines, churches, mosques to further emphasize the theme of diversity.

There are also flags of several countries to show that unity and diversity promotes global peace by fostering understanding and cooperation among nations. When countries embrace their cultural diversity and work together to address shared concerns such as climate change, poverty, and disease, it promotes stability and security on a global scale.

Finally, the image of a pair of hands holding our Earth while also holding a necklace with peace symbol as it's pendant aims to portray that by embracing and celebrating our differences, we can build a more peaceful and prosperous world for future generations.
